Handsam work closely with GCS Estate Management Ltd to assist schools and groups of schools or MATs to deliver cost effective, quality controlled support for all key aspects of managing your school buildings. This includes gas, electrical, asbestos, legionella/water, lifts and building control.

This support is tailored to fit your organisation, whether you are a stand-alone school or a MAT/group of schools of any size. You don’t even have to be a formal legal entity just a group of schools who wish to work together to benefit each other. This might be through wanting to receive better prices for key estates support services than would otherwise be possible, or wishing to have the quality of their support services checked and managed by external experts.

Coordinated by GCS’s experienced team, your school will benefit from delivery and recording of all regular compliance tasks you wish to have completed and ongoing planned preventative maintenance. The tasks will all be recorded and evidenced in the Handsam online management system for you.

Full procurement is delivered but this does not necessarily mean you must change from your existing suppliers if you are happy with them. They will just be put through a proper process in order to ensure the best value for money. GCS manage 80,000 properties across the UK so are ideally placed to generate economies of scale schools can only dream of.
